Hi, I’m Annemarie!
🎥 I’ve always been known as “the YouTuber.” I’ve been posting videos on my channel AnnemarieChase since 2012.
☃️ I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. I went to school in Los Angeles. I started a content house and community in New York City. Now, I am trying to answer the ever-growing modern question: Where does one live? I’m currently in Austin, Texas to see if this might be my next home!
🎤 Unemployed Millennial. When you google “unemployed definition”, the definition you get is 1: (of a person) without a paid job but available to work. I liked the one that pops up next 2: (of a thing) not in use. Eg "you have to put your left foot under the clutch when it is unemployed". The recurring theme in my life is that I’ve always taken the untraditional path. I have always been unemployed from The Path we all collectively used to agree that we were supposed to follow, even when it’s not cool or trendy or well-traveled. Similar to how “unemployed millennials” developed a negative connotation. Being a 1996 baby, I am the last year cutoff Millennial.
Topics I’m Pondering…
Community: I believe in the power of community online. In 2021, I helped to form a content house called Ur Mom’s House. Within 6 months, together with our independent channels, the group gained popularity, capturing the attention of the likes of Buzzfeed and Colin & Samir. However, I was the first member sense the sinking ship and leave, experiencing subsequent emotional and professional burnout. I’m on a quest to figure out the eternal question: what’s next?
Authenticity and Intuition: “Authenticity” has become a buzzword. Storytelling has become the latest trend.
Faith Over Fear: I’ve realized that I can only do what I’m trying to do if I can release control and surrender to the Universe or God. Otherwise, I’m too scared to try. I need something greater than just myself. I find these in the signs and synchronicities.
